Five Things You Need to Know

Here are 5 things that will help you get started using the Library

The first thing you need is your TAFEcard. Use this to borrow resources from the library. You will also need your DET user name and password to access computers in the Library.

Your TAFEcard is also essential for printing and photocopying on campus and in the Library.

The next thing you need to know about are the many resources available to you. For a start, there are over one million resources available in TAFENSW libraries.

You can borrow books from other TAFE campuses via interlibrary loan. There are also all the other resources you would expect to find in an TAFE library... like magazines, newspapers and DVDs.

The TAFE Library Catalogue is a great place to start your search. It searches across the catalogue and provides access to our online databases.

There is much more to the library than what you can see on the shelves. Many library resources are now available online via our database collection.  It’s where the Library comes to you!

Where you can study in the library? There are heaps of study spaces and rooms available to suit all kinds of study needs and styles. Please ring or ask at the library desk.

There is a lot to remember, so finally…where can you get help when you need it?  You can  ask library staff for help at any time. You can also ask a question and see responses to questions other students have asked on LibAnswers.

Please visit, call or email us to ask questions or get help and information.
